My new book, I Deserve a Donut, releases on October 8th.
It’s a small 132 page paperback book, easy to fit in your purse or backpack, full of Bible verses and questions that will help you:
Discover the lies that make you overeat.
Break free from the emotions that drive you to eat.
Develop a habit of going to God for help with life.
Gain victory over your eating habits.
If you would like to be involved in the book launch, I would love your help!
Here are a few ways you can be involved:
- Write a review at Amazon between 10/1 and 10/10.
- Write a review (or mention it) on your blog.
- Share on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or any other social platform between 10/7 and 10/20.
If you’re willing to help, please email me at barb.raveling@gmail.com or use the contact form under the About tab, and I will send you a free advance pdf of the book and a code to get the app for free on iTunes (please let me know if you want the app code).
The book includes fifteen pages of introductory material and the rest of the book is filled with Bible verses, questions, and tips. It’s not a read-it-straight-through book, but more of a hands-on, use-it-in-the-thick-of-the-battle book to help you renew your mind.
Thanks so much for your help – I appreciate it!
P.S. The book is a bit different from the app: three new sets of questions, new introductory material, more tips, and some of the questions and tips have been updated.

I’m looking forward to reading your book. I’m a little behind. And will post a review as soon as I can.
Barb Raveling says
Thanks, Barbie. I know you’re busy, though, so don’t worry about it if you’re too busy!
Caleb says
Barb, will the book be available on Kindle?
Barb Raveling says
Yes, I’ll definitely get it out on Kindle because I’ve had people ask for that but I haven’t had time to set it up yet. I’m hoping it won’t be too difficult since there are so many lists in the book. I don’t think it will work very well on Kindle since it’s the type of book where you keep flipping back and forth between chapters, but I’m guessing it will work all right on the newer Kindles with the touch capabilities. (At least I think that’s what the newer ones have.)
Caleb says
I have a Kindle fire and it should work well on that. You might want to consider formatting your book into .epub before uploading to Kindle. I will be important for you that the table of content page has links for each section of the book. You can find out pretty much everything you need to know here http://kdp.amazon.com
Barb Raveling says
Thanks, Caleb – I’ll check that out. I’m just learning as I go, but there’s a lot to learn! I appreciate your help.
