I’ve written and podcasted about these subjects for years, but now I’m excited to offer help through a one-on-one coaching relationship. Keep reading for answers to FAQ about coaching.
What should I expect from a coaching relationship?
Coaching is an opportunity to work on something you don’t feel you can handle on your own. It could be a different topic each call or an ongoing project such as weight loss or overcoming procrastination.
We’ll visit about your topic and I’ll ask you questions to encourage exploration and new awareness. I’ll help you discover some of the lies you’re believing that keep you from growing and ask questions to help you explore options and come up with an action plan to move forward. If you’ve listened to the coaching interviews on the Taste for Truth Podcast, it will be similar to that but a bit more client-oriented.
If you’re working on a weight loss or breaking-a-habit project, I’ll ask you to spend some time going to God to renew your mind between calls so you’ll have the strength to follow the boundaries you create.
Do you have any training in coaching?
I have a CCLC certification with Coach Approach Ministries and am working on my ECC certification. I first became interested in coaching when I interviewed Joy Schroeder on my podcast two years ago and actually coached with her for a while. That experience showed me how life-changing coaching was on a personal level, and I became interested in building my own coaching practice.
What times are you available?
Most of my available times will be on Tuesday-Friday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm MST, with one time slot available on Monday as well.
How often will we meet?
You decide how often we meet but in my experience, 2 times a month is usually enough for weight loss coaching and 1-2 times a month for other goals. You may want to meet more often in the early stages of a breaking-a-habit or weight-loss project.

- Upcoming events: I’ll also be doing some free learning labs via Zoom in the future on various subjects as soon as I get the courage up to learn the techy aspects of setting up meetings!
