On today’s episode of the Christian Habits Podcast, I’ll answer a listener’s question about what to do when your spouse is unfaithful. We’ll talk about it from both a practical standpoint and also a spiritual standpoint: what to do with all of those emotions that well up.

In the first half of the podcast we’ll discuss some of the lies we might believe if we decide to stay with our husbands and in the second half of the podcast (starting at about the 17:00 mark), we’ll discuss what to do on a practical level: do you stay or do you leave?

Barb, thank you for this podcast. My husband struggles with pornography. I have chosen to stay. But I have had to establish boundaries for him.
I did need to put controls on the computer. ” Covenant Eyes” this helps us to dialogue about what’s going on.
One thing my Pastor asked me is “what part of “till death” do you not understand?”
My husband’s struggles has contributed greatly to my own spiritual growth and development because I realized I can’t do this on my own. Learning to renew my mind has been one of the best tools that has helped me to grow.
I read in another book ” as long as he is still breathing, he can change. ” I pray daily for his heart transformation, I can’t change Him but God can.
My part is to love, value and accept Him, as God loves, values, and accepts me.
Thank you again for your wonderful ministry, God has used your materials to change and transform me from within.
    Hugs and prayers.
    Mavis

Wow, Mavis, I love, love, love that testimony. I think it would be so hard for any man these days with the temptations of the Internet. I can’t even imagine what it would like to have all of that available as a young person growing up when you have a natural curiosity and then it would be so easy to get hooked. And they say many women also have a huge struggle with pornography. I’ve heard good things about Covenant Eyes and would guess it also makes you worry less having it on your computer? I love how you are loving your husband with God’s love in accepting, valuing him, and also helping with boundaries. Thanks so much sharing and giving a real-life example of God using a trial like this for your good!
