Note: A modified version of these questions can also be found in The Renewing of the Mind Project, which is a book that can help you purse your goals, as well as break free from bad habits and negative emotions like worry, anger, insecurity, and stress. Blog Stat Checking Questions
- Why do you want to know how many people are looking at your blog?
- What do you think a high number will tell you?
- What will a high number really tell you?
- What do you think a low number will tell you?
- Is that really what a low number will tell you? Why or why not?
- What else might a low number tell you?
- What are the chances the number will be as high as you want it to be?
- Is it worth looking at for those odds?
- Do you think God wants you to have boundaries in this area of your life? Why or why not?
- Is there anything you need to accept?
- What can you thank God for?

Great questions. I have fallen into the trap of checking my stats and allowing them to determine how I felt. Recently I have made it a point to keep producing content and not worry about the stats.

Maybe I’m odd~ LOL! But stats make me nervous~ I try not to check them at all! I still like to think no one is reading. And if they are, why don’t they comment!! LOL!! So that’s my weakness~ if you read~ please comment! Otherwise I think I’m just talking to my “critic” readers and well, I know why they don’t comment! (wink!)

Haha, I know how you feel, Elizabeth – it’s those critic readers that get in my head and make me nervous about writing – and who knows if we even have critic readers? I’ll be sure to comment!

I try to only check my stats occasionally. They were too mood changing. Once I realized they had the power to influence my day, I determined that I was making my blog too much about me and not simply serving the Lord. Thanks for making me ask myself these hard but important questions.
