One of the things I love about Bible studies is hearing what God is doing in the lives of the people in the study. In addition to just enjoying each other, we get to build each other up and learn from each other.
I get to hear what God is teaching the people in the study, how they handle various problems, and what they’re struggling with, which is often the the same thing I’m struggling with.
That’s the same way I felt when I visited with my friend Terry on my podcast. Her interview encouraged me and blessed me, in addition to just being fun to do. So I’m hoping I can have some more of those interviews!
I’m wondering if any of you would consider visiting with me, with the possibility of putting the visit on my podcast.
I’d love to have interviews on some of the following topics: insecurity, people pleasing, worry, discontentment, anger and annoyance, any habits – Facebook, emails, overeating, pornography, smoking, procrastination, texting, television – basically just anything you’re working on.
Also, I would be interested in interviewing you about starting habits such as having a daily quiet time, Bible memorization, or doing scary things that aren’t easy for you to do. And also letting go of idols in your life.
If you’ve gained victory in any of these areas by going to God for help, I’d love to hear how you did it. If you’re in the middle of the battle, and are still struggling, I’d love to hear what you’re doing and would be happy to brainstorm ideas with you if you’d like to do that.
I’m not sure how many people who will be game for conversations, so I can’t guarantee that all the interviews will go on the podcast. But I also won’t put your interview on the podcast if you decide after the conversation that you’d rather not. Also, we don’t have to give your name, if you’d rather go incognito.
Anyway, I hope some of you will be game to do this as I think it would be so great to learn from each other! If you’re interested in giving this a try, email me at the about tab up at the top of this blog.
My husband and I are getting a taste of empty nester life this week as our daughter is at backpacking camp, so this would be a great week to do an interview if anyone wants to jump in right away!
P.S. You may have wondered if I’m totally giving up on the blog to be a podcaster. I’m not! I’m trying to do one podcast a week for the first three months of the podcast, and that’s about all I can handle right now. My plan is to do a little of each once I get the podcast established.

It’s peculiar, but one of the things that has gotten out of balance for me is my site and things associated with it. I’m in the process of making changes, changing habits so to speak, in order to hopefully get back in it. I targeted my four year mark as the time to do it which is coming up in a week or so…

That’s something I’ve struggled with for the last two and a half years, Floyd, and I think a lot of bloggers struggle with it. Would love to do an interview with you about it if you’re game!

What a fantastic selection of topics you’re looking at covering. I have to say I’m going to be looking forward to these podcasts. Great subjects to cover (btw you perfectly summed up what are the exact same things I love about a good bible study too).

Thanks for the encouragement, Micah. I’m really looking forward to the interviews!

Honestly, doing an interview like this scares me. I’m much more comfortable writing out my thoughts, being able to think them through first. I’m not good at thinking quickly, and this is the main reason an interview scares me. BUT, maybe I need to be challenged in this way. Let’s chat…

That would be great, Kari. I’ll email you.
