Hi Everyone, Just wanted to let you know that Karon Ruiz, will facilitate an online Taste for Truth Bible study beginning November 17, 2014.
This is a private Facebook group and you would need to send Karon Ruiz a friends request and a message letting her know you want to sign up.
It’s a free class, but participants will need to purchase Taste for Truth: A 30 Day Weight Loss Bible Study. This is available in Kindle or paperback. Since there is writing to do each day, the workbook might be easier to use.
I Deserve a Donut is also recommended, but not required, and that is available as an iPhone app, android app, Kindle (doesn’t work very well in that format unless you have a touch kindle) or a book.
The class will run for 6 weeks with weekends and holidays off plus the day after Thanksgiving off.
If you don’t want to try to lose weight this time of the year with the holidays, you could also go through the study focusing on weight maintenance boundaries so you don’t gain weight over the holidays. The study can be done alongside whatever healthy boundaries you choose to use.
There are already almost 40 people signed up so you’ll have lots of people to share the struggle with!
Hmm, I’m seriously thinking about doing this Bible Study with my wife, but she doesn’t have a facebook account.
I would think you guys could use the same account. I’m not exactly sure what they do on Facebook. I think they just discuss the daily lessons, but they do it in a closed group so the that the conversations stay within the group. That would be fun to do the study together.

Barb, Information about Taste for Truth mentions a workbook. I have only been able to find the book in paperback or the Kindle version through Amazon. Is there a workbook or is that a reference to the paperback version of the book?

I am doing this study with friends at church. I’m interested I your I Deserve A Donut app. Is there any free trial that I can use for a week before I buy the app? I’m not working at this time and have already spent over my budget to get both of your books.
Hi Sandy, there isn’t a free trial but you wouldn’t really need the app if you have both books – the I Deserve a Donut book is just like the app so it will work just fine without it!
