I never knew how important reviews were until I became a writer. Not only do they encourage the writer (or podcaster), but they also help others to find their resources.
Why? Because the more reviews a podcast or book has, the more likely it will show up when someone does a search for something like weight loss.
By writing a review, you can help others who struggle with the same things you do to find the resources that will help them. Here are the instructions if you’d be willing to take the time (less than 5 minutes) to write a review:
How to leave a review from your iPhone or iPad
- Launch Apple’s Podcast app.
- Tap the Search tab down at the bottom of the screen.
- Enter “Taste for Truth.”
- Tap the blue Search key at the bottom right.
-
Tap the album art for the podcast near the bottom of the page. (See picture of cover art to the right.)
- Tap the Reviews tab.
- Tap Write a Review at the bottom.
- Enter your iTunes password to login.
- Tap the Stars to leave a rating. (5 Stars means you really like it.)
- Enter title text and content to leave a review.
- Tap Send.
- Don’t be surprised if you don’t see it right away. It will take approximately 24 hours to show up in the iTunes store.
How to leave a review from your computer
Step 1: Go to the iTunes Preview page for Taste for Truth Podcast.
Step 2: Click the bright blue “View in iTunes” button on the left side of the page right under the podcast cover art.
Step 3: Click the Subscribe button underneath the cover art (if you haven’t already) to subscribe to the podcast. I’m not sure if this step is necessary to leave a review, but clicking it will subscribe you to the podcast, which will help the rankings.
Step 4: Click the Ratings and Review tab to the right of the podcast cover art.
Step 5: Rate the podcast by selecting 1 to 5 stars (5 stars means you like it!).
Step 6: Write a brief honest review. (1-3 sentences is fine.)
When you’re finished the review box disappears without giving any confirmation, but when that happens your review has been accepted. It can take 24 hours or more for your review to post in iTunes, so don’t be surprised if you don’t see it immediately.
Note: I’m not sure if this will work if you don’t have an iTunes account – you can make an iTunes account just to write the review, but I’m not sure how much work it is to do that! If I remember right, the only challenge was to try to think of a username that no one had already taken!
Thank you!
Thanks for taking the time to review the podcast. It means a lot to me, and may help someone who struggles with the same issues you struggle with!
