After six months of saying, “Coming soon!” Taste for Truth is finally here!
Taste for Truth is the Bible study I wish I’d had when I was deep in the middle of my own weight loss woes.
It offers a daily dose of truth that will help you actually want to follow your weight loss program in those early days when it’s so much easier to quit.
Taste for Truth is available in a workbook format now at Amazon and will be available at other venues (such as Amazon Europe and Barnes and Noble) in 6-8 weeks. I also hope to get it out in an e-book format soon.
Taste for Truth is a companion Bible study to I Deserve a Donut (And Other Lies That Make You Eat). It can be done alone, but it’s best to use it alongside I Deserve a Donut for renewing-of-the-mind help. I also suggest assignments in it from time to time.
Book Giveaways – Drawing on Saturday, December 14
To celebrate the book launch I’ll be giving away five books – your choice of Taste for Truth, I Deserve a Donut, or Freedom from Emotional Eating. (I just realized I now have a weight loss trilogy!)
I thought of putting one of those cool Rafflecopters on my blog, but since I have college kids coming home this week, I don’t feel like I have the time to conquer a new techie challenge. So I will be doing the drawing the old-fashioned way, by putting little names in a hat and drawing five names out on Saturday at 5:00!
How To Win a Book
You can get your name into the hat up to five times. Here’s how you do it:
- Pin this post to Pinterest.
- Share on Twitter or any other social media you use.
- Leave a review for I Deserve a Donut or Freedom from Emotional Eating on Amazon. (If you’ve already done this, it still counts – just let me know).
Since I’m giving away five books, I think you’ll have a pretty good chance of winning a free book – just leave a comment to let me know how many names I need to put in the hat! Then check back Saturday – I’ll put the winner’s first names at the bottom of this post and also leave you a comment. Each person can win up to one free book.
Help for Bad Habits
I should also mention that although Taste for Truth is specifically written to help people break free from the stronghold of overeating, most of the Bible studies will apply to any bad habit.
I’m going through it right now to help me with my own bad habit of wasting too much time on the Internet. One of these days I hope to tweak this study and write one specifically for breaking free from bad habits but until then, if you have a bad habit you want to conquer, you could give this study a try.
Update: Winners of the Drawing
