Today I have the privilege of sharing a wonderful interview about marriage with my friend Heidi Bylsma. I hope it’s as much of a blessing to you as it is to me.

Something that really stood out to me from this interview was Heidi saying she would ask herself, “What is true for me in this moment?” I wrote it out on a piece of paper while listening and I put it on my kitchen counter today. It’s a wonderful reminder of the importance of renewing our mind–getting out the lies and putting on truth. Thank you for the wonderful interview! I’m just amazed at God and how He stands by His word!

Yes, I liked that too, Christina – plus I loved how she answered that question at one point in the podcast – I can’t remember exactly what she said, but it was something about how much God loves us. That’s encouraging no matter what trial we’re going through.

Thanks, I’ve already listened to it a few times in preparing it for the podcast and every time I get something new out of the things Heidi said. She has so much wisdom to share and is so encouraging. Glad it was helpful!

I appreciate Heidi being so open in sharing her personal experiences. What hit me was when she said that God would like us to be happy but he really wants us to be holy!

Yes, I loved that part too. It always comforts me in a trial to think about what God wants to teach me through the situation. Not sure why that comforts me, but it does! And the interesting thing is that the more we become like Christ in our thoughts and actions, the happier we are anyway!

I love how God is such a redeemer…taking things that we struggle with seeing good in and showing how amazing he is…like marriage troubles or emergency back surgeries! LOL! Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I really appreciate it and it thrills my heart to know that God is using this trial for his glory!

I’m late listening to this. I can’t begin to tell you how encouraging it was to me on so many levels. If the Lord can help Heidi through her difficult struggles, surely He can help me too.
