Do you struggle to do hard things—even when you know they’re important? Do you procrastinate because a project feels overwhelming, or feel like giving up when you hit an obstacle? Maybe you’ve tried to break a habit or make a change in your life countless times, and you’re beginning to wonder if you can actually do it.

When we procrastinate hard things—or quit when things get hard—it makes us feel hopeless, overwhelmed, and depressed.
This is something God has been working on in my life for the last 20 years. I hope some of the things He has taught me will help you as well in your journey to learn how to do hard things!
In this episode, we’ll talk about:
- A simple strategy that can help you finally start something you’ve been procrastinating
- The expectation that can make a hard project feel even harder
- Why we can’t always do hard things in our own strength—and how God helps us
- How expecting obstacles can keep one bad day from making you give up
- The surprising way perfectionism can turn an ordinary project into an exhausting one
If you’re trying to break a habit, finish a difficult project, make a change in your life, or simply keep going when you’d rather quit, I hope these five steps encourage you and help you learn how to do hard things.
